Health Center and Water Office

Health Center/ Public Water Utility Office,
Santa Clara, Usulutan, El Salvador
in conjunction with the Catholic University of America chapter of Engineers Without Borders

During 2007 and 2008, I was privileged to work with the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders from Catholic University of America as part of a larger project being coordinated with the DC Professional Chapter of EWB.

The larger project was the design and installation of a municipal water system for a small town of nearly 3000 people who have intermittant access to clean water. The portion of the project I supervised was focused on the creation of a structure to house the water utility offices (spare pipe storage, bill collector office, community water board meetings) and a public health center to be staffed by several clinic workers.

Construction began on the Office/ Clinic building in March 2009 and was completed in May 2009?
